- We help expats in Brno with the same services as in Prague — mortgages, insurance, investments, and pensions (DIP/DPS), in English.
- Most of the process runs remotely by video call, with documents and explanations in English, so your city rarely changes anything.
- Brno's research and tech employers bring specific income and contract situations that we work with regularly.
- No upfront fees; partner institutions compensate us when a product is arranged.
We are based in Prague, but a large share of the expats we help live in Brno — and the way we work means your location rarely matters. If you are settling in Brno and want financial advice in English, here is how it works.
What we help expats in Brno with
The same services we provide in Prague apply in Brno: mortgage advisory for both EU and non-EU passport holders, insurance (property, life, liability, income protection), investment advisory, and pension planning through the Czech DIP and DPS products. Each advisor is individually registered with the Czech National Bank as a tied agent (vázaný zástupce) of OVB Allfinanz, a.s., and works with you in English from the first call onward.
How remote advisory works
Most of the process runs by video call and email. We explain everything in English and translate the Czech-language paperwork from banks and insurers into plain-English summaries so you always know what you are signing. Much of the signing is now electronic. When a step genuinely needs to happen in person, we arrange it around you.
Brno situations we see often
Brno's economy shapes the cases we handle. We regularly work with:
Researchers and academics at Masaryk University, CEITEC, the university hospitals, and the research institutes — often on fixed-term or grant-funded contracts, which Czech banks assess differently from open-ended employment.
Tech employees at Brno's IT employers and around the science and technology park.
Freelancers (OSVČ) and s.r.o. owners, whose declared income is read differently by lenders than a standard payslip.
We know what the major Czech banks tend to need to see for these profiles, which is often the difference between an application that stalls and one that proceeds.
Tools you can use right now
Before we even speak, you can model your situation with our calculators: the Czech salary calculator (gross to net), the mortgage calculator, the pension calculator, and the DIP vs DPS comparison.
Educational note: This article is general educational content for expats in the Czech Republic. It is not personalized financial advice, a recommendation, or an offer of any specific product. Figures are illustrative and rules change. For advice on your own situation, speak with a qualified, CNB-registered adviser, and for tax matters with a Czech tax professional.
